Back into Sewing

Here is my messy handbag , how do I manage to find anything !!!!!

Have been thinking about making a bag organiser for ages, couldn't find a pattern that i liked, so decided to do a "Jordy" bag with pockets inside and out , without handles. I added a key chain to hold my keys and a drawstring for added security as my purse is on inside. It even holds a book on the outside pockets along with a bottle of water and still has loads of empty pockets . I love it !!!!! Here it is inside my current bag

And here is it ready to move into a different bag

I am so pleased with it , hopefully i will be able to find everything when i want it

Just discovered that lillies are posionous to cats!!!

We have had Georgie cat for 14 years and never noticed it before. We know have an inquisitive male kitten who is into everything including lillies so i found out yesterday. Luckily my sister who is a vet was visiting , and she knew exactly what was wrong with him.

Having never been sick before this poor wee kitten was sick while she was here , he was also very lethargic. Because he was sick so soon after , he will be fine , but unfortuneatley no more lillies in my house until he is less nosey!!!!

Here's Georgie and Tux , he is the one on the pillow , I think she is thinking "This is as close as you get".

Happy Easter

Woke up this Easter morning and thought someone had stole my back and left some extra nerves in my back. Wowzer haven't had a really sore back like this for ages , doesn't help that i have the cold as well. I can feel every cough. Bummer!!

Anyways Mum and Dad and Kate( i think ) are coming for tea, Conor helped me go shopping , (thanks Connor), I wouldn't have managed otherwise. When we came home Callum offered to help with some of the preparation (thanks Callum) and ended up browning all the steak and sausages ready for the slow cook. I took some pics and will add them later.

I think we may have a Jamie Oliver in the making

Happy Easter to everyone!

Finally persuaded Kyle to get his hair cut !!

Have been trying to get Kyle to gethis hair cut he is 4 and "loves his curls". Secretly so does mummy. Anyway thought as he is starting school in august we should try and get him used to going to the barbers.

He was none too please and took a lot of persuading to get it done, thanks to Kathy , we got there in the end. First stared off sitting on my knee then finally progressed to the chair woohoooo result!

See the before and after pics below. He doe love his new hair and was even excited to find out it had changed colour (LOL :) not really long it was fair and when it is short it is light brown)

Well done Kyle , Mummy is really proud of you , you look a proper wee man now.

Bowling !!!

My sister is visiting from down south , so we decided as a birthday treat to take the families bowling.
All the kids were really excited including my younger sister who is 24 by the way :). we popped into McDonalds and had something to eat first , then headed across to the bowling.
We had 2 lanes booked to play 2 games.

First mishap , we were given two lanes next to each other, one had finished and one was still to finish. So we started the kids on the empty lane and then proceeded to wait 20 minutes, the other lane was still not finished. We were moved to another lane again same story one lane finished , one lane to finish. Eventually managed to get started and everyone was having a great time.

Bowling alleys are quite noisy what with the bowling and the music , and about 20 minutes into our game we heard a muffled announcement and managed to pick out the words "Fire Exit". My sister went to check and sure enough we all had to make our way to the nearest fire exit. We then waited another 15 minutes outside in the cold , with no explanation and no sign of a fire, to be told we had to hand our bowling shoes back in and that the place was closed. So that was our eventful bowling night.

My sister has to go today and see about a refund, here's hoping shes successful.

Agggggh no stitching for a couple of days

Just got new glasses one eye is a slightly lower prescription, so my eyes are taking a wee while to adjust don't want to strain them anymore.

Guess i will just have to do nothing but relax mmmmmm...........

Hopefully I'll be stitching by the weekend

--------------------->

Got Kyle registered for school today , he starts in August, I can't believe where the time has gone, not so long ago i was holding him in my arms. His latest is "Mummy, I love you all the way to" and then he adds whatever he was doing that day some of them are really funny. Yesterday's was "I love you all the way to your heart and back", I just melted. ( Just like that ice- cream is about to do :) Mummy do you think this will fit in my mouth hmmmmmm maybe not! )

Busy Day !!

Eventful morning so far, power cut , opticians and the boys had football this morning.

Power cut was just for a wee while, need new glasses from the opticians, and the boys won their football match, so all in all a good morning. Apart from the fact that it is blowing a gale outside, wind chill factor is definately minus something.

Think we will have a quite house day, and keep warm. Maybe i'll even get some stitching done, here's hoping.
